TNO geeft startsein proeffabriek fotonische chips

11 juni 2025 – Eind dit jaar start TNO met de bouw van een proeffabriek voor fotonische chips op de High Tech Campus in Eindhoven. Deze nieuwe fabriek maakt de productie van Indiumfosfide (InP) gebaseerde fotonische chips op industriële schaal mogelijk. Daarnaast maakt de opschaling van 4-inch naar 6-inch wafers de productie efficiënter. TNO werkt daarvoor samen in het Photonic Integration Technology Centre (PITC) met de Technische Universiteit Eindhoven en de Universiteit Twente.
